Getting to Prometheus Concerts
Concerts are at Valley Center for the Performing Arts, 3500 Mountain Blvd, in the Oakland hills (formerly Holy Names Univ.) at the Redwood Road exit of Highway 13. Follow the signs for “Holy Names University”. Go up the hill on the frontage road on the east side of Highway 13. Go through the guard gate. There are multiple parking lots, ADA parking, and street parking (see parking map).
Public Transit systems often change schedules (see the latest at link), but in general:
- From FRUITVALE BART take Line 54 AC Transit Bus to VCPA
- On Sundays, Line 54 buses run every 30 minutes. The bus ride takes ~15 minutes from BART to Redwood Rd.
- Get off at Redwood Rd & Mountain Blvd, then walk ~10min to VCPA.
–> So, to hear Eric’s talk at 2:40pm, arrive at Fruitvale BART in time to catch the 1:57pm Line 54 bus.
